Tummy Tuck Cosmetic Surgery
by: T.Going
Abdominoplasty is also known as a ?tummy tuck? procedure that is used to reshape and firm the abdomen.
This procedure involves removing excess fat and skin from the center of the lower abdomen in order to tighten the muscles of the abdomen wall.
Generally this procedure is performed on women and people who have abdominal fat deposits that won?t respond to diet and exercise.
A complete abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) procedure is performed by creating a small incision from one hip to the next (just above the pubic area).
After this, another cut is made to free the surrounding skin away from the navel.
The skin is detached from the abdomen wall which will reveal the muscles.
The skin is then reattached and a new hole for the navel is created and stitched into place.
When preparing for your surgery it is best to listen to all of the instructions your surgeon gives you.
This will most likely include guidelines on eating, drinking, smoking and what medications to take.
Overexposure to the sun before surgery can slow down the time it takes to heal.
Smoking is also not recommended for at least a week before your surgery.
After the surgery has been completed your abdomen will probably feel swollen and you will most likely undergo some pain and discomfort.
Your doctor will provide you with medication to help you out during this time.
Some people are able to return to work within two weeks of the procedure, while others take 3-4 weeks.
Minor exercise will help you heal better, and it is recommended to start an exercise program to reduce swelling.
Expect your scars to last for around 9-12 months after the procedure.
While these scars will never disappear completely, most will not show under clothing and even bathing suits.

Cosmetic Surgery ? Vanity or Healthy Choice?
Cosmetic Surgery ? Vanity or Healthy Choice?
by: Rex Ryan
Cosmetic and plastic surgery has long been associated with vanity, but mounting evidence suggests that in many cases cosmetic surgery can offer substantial health benefits.
Nose jobs can offer real health benefits in addition to improving the symmetry of the face.
Face lifts have been shown to increase life expectancy.
And eyelid surgery can create significant vision benefits for some people.
All of these examples show the lines between aesthetics and real health benefits can blur when examining plastic surgery procedures.
Rhinoplasty, or nose jobs have health benefits beyond the aesthetic appeals of the procedure.
In many cases, rhinoplasty can substantially improve breathing difficulties.
In cases where people have broken their nose, the cartilage can become constricted, creating breathing problems.
Rhinoplasty can alleviate...

Cosmetic Chin Surgery - The Final Facial Touch
Cosmetic Chin Surgery - The Final Facial Touch
by: Jeff Lakie
When either cosmetic or plastic surgery are mentioned to us, our thoughts run immediately to breast implants or liposuction, but there are many other procedures available that although they might not receive the same attention of their more obvious counterparts can have a huge impact upon both the appearance and the self confidence of a patient. One of these unsung heroes is cosmetic chin surgery, which can exert a profound effect that belies the ease with which it can be performed.
Cosmetic chin surgery is a relatively simple procedure that is usually performed in about an hour or so. Scarring is minimal, and though the patient might be limited to a liquid diet for the two or three days following surgery, recovery time is typically fast, and patients are back to their usual routines within a couple of days. Side effects, including the risk of infection or numbness in the area, are...

The Hottest Cosmetic Surgery Trends Today

Today, cosmetic surgery is an extremely common procedure carried out on both the young and the old. Most cosmetic surgery patients want to look good, nip and tuck a little bit here and there in an effort to hide evidence of the aging process. Statistics show that most cosmetic surgery patients are women, but there seems to be an influx of men who are unafraid of going under the knife in order to look good. Hence, cosmetic surgery is now common in both women and men. And in this modern era, cosmetic surgery patients want to get optimal results from cosmetic surgery without having to fork out the insane amount that cosmetic surgery used to cost some decades back. Therefore, more and more ways continue to be developed to satisfy the needs of consumers.
Once upon a time, facelifts and liposuction were the only options open to cosmetic surgery patients. Other untested and unproven cosmetic...

The Basics Of Cosmetic Surgery
The Basics Of Cosmetic Surgery

It is not uncommon for a person to have something they would like to change about their body. Some people have abnormally large noses. Some women would like to see their bust size larger or reduced. Many people would like to decrease the fatty deposits in their tummies, hips and thighs! This is where cosmetic surgery can come in. When you have cosmetic surgery done, you are having a healthy, normal part of your body reshaped and changed for aesthetic reasons. These parts of the body don?t have to be changed. Cosmetic surgery should not be confused with reconstructive surgery. Cosmetic surgery is used strictly to enhance and improve the appearance of a given part of the body.
There have been many medical advances in cosmetic surgery over the last several years. Most cosmetic procedures can now be done as outpatient surgery. This can mean very little discomfort and very little time off from...

A Brief History of Loans
A Brief History of Loans
by: John Mussi
No one can say for certain where the history of loans began? it's likely that people have been practicing lending and borrowing for as long as there has been a concept of ownership.
The history of loans can be documented at least several thousand years back; forms of lending were evident in ancient Greek and Roman times, and monetary loans were even mentioned in the Christian bible.
The modern history of loans...
